Join us for an intimate, four-day retreat immersed in the essence of Rosen Method somatic bodywork.

This is for you whether you're an intern on the certification track or a newcomer curious about the Rosen Method. Come discover if there can be ease in learning Rosen touch, and what lies behind the magic of "meeting" our clients. And more specifically, how do we safely, with respect and confidence, meet the pelvis?

We are lucky to have Kellie Cottrill join Julia Wittich to share her intricate knowledge of the pelvis, sacrum, and all that connects to it. Kellie has just returned from teaching in Spain and Denmark and is alive with our international Rosen community, her passion for the felt sense, and the question: what does it mean to go deeper?

Together we will unpack the role of the pelvis in how we walk in the world; how it affects our sense of stability and confidence, and how we're able to step forward. It is the bridge between the upper and lower body, along with the diaphragm. Approaching the pelvis can be daunting, so we will explore how a client's sex, gender, and trauma shape the way we engage with it. We look forward to examining how we "meet" a person, from contact into connection, and to reviewing the basics of Rosen method touch.

Over the course of the retreat, we will practice giving and receiving Rosen touch, engage in dyads, Rosen Movement, demos, discussions, group process circles, and an art project. Through these practices, we will find more clarity in how we are present, touch, use words, and attend to muscle tension and breath.

This retreat is set in the serene, rural backdrop of Julia's private home and guest house. As we play with the infinite possibilities and concrete wonders of a Rosen bodywork session, this retreat offers a unique space to expand your approach to bodywork and deepen your connection to both your practice and self.
