In the mid-seventies I began to explore the body-emotion-mind connection through Release Technique, Vipassana meditation, Contact Improvisation and Body-Mind Centering®. I also discovered the Rosen Method and moved to Berkeley to complete the Rosen Bodywork and Movement trainings. For the last 35 years I have had a lively, full-time bodywork practice in New York City. In addition, I lead bi-monthly supervision groups for Rosen and other bodywork professionals, supervise Rosen interns and teach an on-going Fall and Spring Series of Classes for certification and self-discovery. My work is nourished by my love of the dharma and my experience of the possibility for people to transform through receiving kind touch and close attention.

Rosen Method Bodywork allows me to listen with my hands and respond with my heart and mind. I find being a Practitioner, Teacher, and Supervisor very emotionally rewarding because of the relationship Rosen Method allows me to create with individuals who are willing to explore their potential for fuller lives. My book, Relaxation Awareness Resilience, Rosen Method Science and Practice, (www.relaxationawarenessresilience.com) grew out of my desire to understand how Rosen Method impacts our neurology, physiology, and psychology. My hope is that the book gives this simple, elegant and powerful Method a larger voice that can be heard in the worlds of mindfulness, embodied self-awareness, spirituality, and body-centered educational and therapeutic methods.

To my Rosen practice I bring 40+ years experience as a physical therapist. I appreciate how this work continues to bring us closer to the essence of ourselves. The joy of Rosen movement captured me initially and inspired me to learn to teach it so I would always have it for myself! The simplicity and effectiveness of Rosen Movement continues to nourish and support me as I teach weekly classes. I have been a practitioner of both since 1996. I am a long time practitioner and teacher of The Trager® Approach. My yoga and meditation, involvement with the Meeks Method and Somatic Experiencing also informs my life and work. My active practice is in Katonah, NY and NYC. www.AdrienneStonePT.com.

Back in 2000 I became curious about the mind/body connection. I started to learn the value of not only listening to my body but also the importance of trusting what my body was telling me. Both Rosen bodywork and Rosen movement give me the opportunity to show up more authentically and allow me to live more in the present. I became a Rosen bodywork practitioner in 2007 and a Rosen Movement teacher in 2015. I also incorporate my knowledge of Core Energetics and Somatic Experiencing in my work. I give bodywork sessions and teach movement classes in Ridgefield, Connecticut, and feel passionate about this work.

2010 Senior Rosen Method Movement Teacher
2000 Rosen Method Bodywork Practitioner
2005 Certificate in Contemplative Dance/Authentic Movement
2015 Somatic Experiencing Practitioner

Marjorie Huebner was delighted to discover the Rosen Method as it brought together movement, touch and awareness! Her return to her own embodiment began with modern dance, movement improvisation, yoga, and Authentic Movement. Since 1984, she has had a private bodywork practice, working in a variety of modalities, including massage, Trager, and Craniosacral Therapy, and, since 2000, Rosen Method Bodywork and Movement, and Authentic Movement. Some other influences have been Somatic Experiencing, Body-Mind Centering, Hakomi, Vipassana Meditation, Non-Violent Communication, the study of human anatomy, and body culture. Since 2015, she has been working with a group of white colleagues, and two mentors of color, on building capacity to take anti-racist action in the world in an embodied way.
